9th overall at All British for Jack Evans

Last weekend Jack Evans headed to Maisemore with Severn Valley Schoolboy Motocross Club for their annual All British event. It was the first time Jack raced onboard his 250cc and after five motos ended the weekend with ninth overall in a stacked class of riders.

Here is how the weekend went for Jack:

“This was my first time racing on the 250cc. Saturday race 1 I had an alright start and got myself into 3rd on the first lap. Tried making a pass for 2nd but fell off, losing a number of spaces, managed to pull through but got stuck behind a rider and when I tried to overtake, I span out and fell off, pulling a muscle in my leg. Gently rode around to pick up some well-needed points and finished in 19th.”

“Race 2 I had a good start, got into the lead in the second lap, where I held it until the last lap but then got passed fair and square to finish the race in 2nd. Race 3 I didn’t have a good start. From outside of the top 10, I managed to get back to 4th.”

“Sunday race 1 I had a shocking start. Made mistakes and didn’t pass when I should have done and as a result, finished in 7th. The second and final race of the day I chose to sit out due to the weather conditions being very windy and wanted to ensure I was ready to race this weekend coming at Landrake for Cotswold in the NORA Motorsport Team Event.”
