Last Sunday I raced at Landrake as a wildcard for SWOR in the Senior class.
Qualifying went well and I qualified 4th, which gave me plenty of confidence going into the races.

Race 1
I had an average start and then made a mistake on the inside of the top corner, nearly coming off. I was disappointed with that, but knowing the track helped and I worked my way back up to 12th by the second lap. I was chasing down the two riders ahead and managed to pass both by lap five. Unfortunately, I then took a hard hit from a stone, which hurt quite badly and forced me to back off. I lost around 12 seconds and dropped five positions, eventually finishing 15th.
Race 2
I was determined to put things right in the second race. My start was awful and I was dead last for the first half lap. I kept pushing, worked my way up to 15th by lap three, and felt really good on the bike. My lap times kept improving and I was riding hard, chasing down the riders ahead. After a strong charge through the field, I finished 10th.

Overall, I finished 13th on the day. There were plenty of positives to take away, especially the pace and fight-back rides in both races. Looking forward to building on this and carrying the momentum into the next event.
