Bridgestone Champions at Schoolhouse for Lewis Bethell!

We headed north to Schoolhouse for the second round of the Bridgestone Championship at the weekend, another new track for me.

Looking to improve on the first round, qualifying was mainly learning the track but qualified 18th but only 5 seconds of the top 10 which gave me a platform to build on.

Race 1 – didn’t get a great start but found some decent pace after about 3 laps and worked my way through to finish 13th.
Race 2 – got a much better start but my early race let me down, loosing a few places on the first lap before finding my rhythm and finishing 15th.
Race 3 – got a reasonable start but then got caught up with the same rider going down in front of me twice on the first lap which left me playing catch up, eventually finishing 15th.
Race 4 – not a great start and then the same again finding pace in the second half of the race, had a good battle finishing 17th but within a second of the two riders in front of me.

Overall finished 16th for the weekend and 14th in the championship. I just need to start putting it all together with better starts and the pace I have been showing later in the race right from the start. Another weekend with more race time under my belt and feeling positive that if I can find the pace from the start then I will start picking up positions.

Thanks to the ongoing support from NoraCRS and all the team sponsors.
