CONFIDENCE IS KEY FOR JESSE JAMES AT THE NORA92 BRITISH CUP!

This weekend I headed to the track that some may call Marmite you either love it or you hate it CULHAM for the 2nd Round of the Nora British cup. This is not one of my top 5 tracks as it changes every race. Woke up Saturday Morning and was not feeling 100% , but there was no way I was going to sit this one out.

Qualifying
There was quite a lot rain overnight and it rained again in the morning so the track was really sloppy and difficult to get a grip of.

Race 1 P14
Went out to try find some good lines. Felt like I was a bit to stiff on bike just couldn’t relax so made some bad calls because I was overthinking.

Race 2 P13
I felt like I rode better on the second race taking 18 seconds off my lap time. Track had dried a little bit by then so my riding was smoother.

Sunday

Race 3 P13
A completely different track this race and i’m not one to moan but i felt it was a bit wet. Went out and managed to shave another 2 seconds off my lap times. I felt like my results didn’t show how hard I worked.

Race 4 P19
Well what can I say sitting in the top 10 decided to take a dirt nap on the 2nd lap getting myself pinned under bike. Struggling to get the bike started my lap time went to 5 mins 32. Watching every rider pass me I knew I had to fight to the end and that i did.

There’s a few thing I need to work on over the next few weeks. On the positive side I took 20 seconds off my lap times over the weekenk. Main lesson I learned even if you fall don’t give up. Confidence is Key !!
Roll on Round 3 Marshfield here I come.
