Wow what an incredible weekend at Foxhill MX Park for the 2026 NORA Motorsport Team Event. I was representing Southerly mx and feeling more nervous than usual as Foxhill is not a track to mess with! The track is intimidating and those hills are insane, I knew that I was going to have to jump the big jumps to get the results I wanted.
Qualifying – I started mid pack, coming through quick and getting the hang of them all important mega jumps, I found a flow and found good lines, getting used to the track. I crossed the line 7th and feeling pleased with my qualifying position.
Race 1 – I shook away my nerves and shot out the gate with a great start! Following in 4th and keeping the top few in sight. Keeping my pace and jumping the jumps I rode the race and kept my pace consistent, with a few taking me mid race I managed to cross the line in P6. Very pleased with that.
Race 2 – not the best start but came back through sitting in 7th, knowing I had to make them passes quick. I got my head down and kept my flow the whole race coming home with 7th place.
Race 3 – another good start, sitting around 9th but made a few quick passes and having them jumps under my belt I knew I could make some time up there too. I picked off a few places and crossed the line P7.
Race 4 – shot out the gate and 4th to the corner! I stayed with the top few again keeping them in sight, the track was rough now and them hills were sketchy, but I worked hard and kept my pace, by now the nerves had all gone and I was loving the jumps and the speed of this racing, what a great feeling! I finished P6.
Finishing 6th overall out of the Big Wheel, and 1st overall for team Southerly. It was an epic weekend and one that I won’t be forgetting. What turned from an intimidating track to a track that I can’t wait to ride again, let’s hope there’s more from Foxhill in 2027.
