I headed to Gossington Moto Parc for the fourth and final round of the 2026 NORA92 British Cup, hoping to finish the Championship on a high. After heavy rain overnight and more rain on Saturday morning, the track was a proper mudder.

QUALIFYING – After the racing order was changed, our class finally headed out for qualifying. Unfortunately, my race bike had broken, so I had to use my practice bike. Having never ridden Gossington before, l wasn’t comfortable on the bike or the track, especially with the conditions changing from wet to dry in places. I qualified P28, which wasn’t where I wanted to be. I knew I could do better in the races.

RACE 1 – I got an okay start and began moving through the pack. Unfortunately, I hit a rut and tucked the front end, winding myself in the process. I struggled to get the bike back up and the medics came over to help me. By the time l got going again, it was too late to make up any places and ended the moto in P31.

RACE 2 – This was probably my worst race of the weekend. It was very late in the day, I had an awful start and just couldn’t get my head into the race. The track had dried out and become really slick, and I just didn’t enioy riding it and ended the race in P28.

SUNDAY – RACE 3 – The track had changed massively overnight, becoming deep, rough and very rutty. I really wanted to put in a good first race on Sunday, but unfortunately I made far too many mistakes to count and completely messed this one up with P25.

RACE 4 – FINAL RACE – Going into the final race of the weekend, there was just one thing I wanted to do finish well. My hands were really sore from the day before after riding with wet gloves, which had left me with some pretty nasty blisters. Despite that, I rode a much better race and felt more comfortable out on track. I still made a few errors and just couldn’t quite put everything together ending the race in P24.

It’s not the ending to the 2026 NORA92 British Cup that I wanted, especially after failing to score the points I should have in the first two rounds because of mechanical issues with the bike. This year’s NORA92 British Cup has been really tough, but I’m choosing to take it as experience and a massive learning curve. There have been plenty of mistakes, plenty of things to work on and plenty of lessons learned.
I’m already looking forward to 2027 and coming back stronger, smarter and ready to fight for some very different results and a lot higher up the standings! I’m optimistic for a great 2027. The work starts now. A massive thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout the 2026 British Cup season. We are NORA CRS!
