Come rain or shine this weekend I headed to Frocester to race with Corsham SSC. The heavens had opened that morning so I knew the races were going to be a battle of staying on and getting through the mud.

Practice I felt good the track had dried out the sun was shining again and found my flow on the track and finished with the fastest qualifying time, giving me confidence for the first race.
Race 1 – Holeshot! Lead the way pushing hard to keep the lead, the track was dry and fast, a few laps in a rider went down and the race got red flagged. As the race was only a few minutes in it meant that the race would be re started. Back to the gate and feeling ready to go again, I got out the gate but no holeshot this time. I had two riders in front of me but pushed hard and by the time I passed second place the leader had already built up a gap but lap after lap I was gaining on him and on the last lap, I took the risk and passed him taking the chequered flag for the first race.

Race 2- my start wasn’t the best but knew I could make up for it, sitting in about 5th passing a few riders quickly pushing hard and keeping my lap times consistent. I made my way to 2nd and was sitting a few seconds off from 1st place. I raced as hard as I could but wasn’t enough time to catch up with him, so ended up P2.
Race 3 – last race and the rain came down and I knew I had to get P1 to take the overall win. I don’t make it easy for myself and the pressure was on! Out the gate and I was 3rd into the corner, first lap I made quick passes so I had clear vision. Keeping consistent and a steady pace just tried to stay smooth and made a 10 second lead for myself. The rain was pouring and I could see the chequered flag in sight. The last few jumps were slick but I crossed that line P1, taking the overall win for the weekend, feeling over the moon and proud of my race results this weekend.
