Lewys Morgan Dominates Pendine MX to Take 1st Overall in Youth Class with LGR!

We were booked into the final round of the ACU MXGB Youth at Foxhill but as my brothers bike wasn’t ready we decided to make a late race entry at the final round of LGR Championship at Pendine Mx Track on Sunday. I had been side lined for 5 weeks with a shoulder injury which I sustained from a crash at the last round of the NORA92 Cup, so this was my first race meeting back

Practice went well, the track was to my liking and I felt fast and comfortable.

In the first race I didn’t get a good start. The Youth raced in with the A’s which I liked but I was up against 450’s on my 250f. I was having to push very hard on a jumpy fast track and as I pushed my way through the pack I got into 3rd on the fourth lap. On lap 6 I eventually took the lead and the chequered flag which I was very happy with.

Second race it rained making my googles almost unusable, from not a great start and a crash on the second lap I eventually finished 4th but 1st out of the youth but I did set the fastest lap by 2 seconds.

Final race of the day and another mediocre start and battling with another youth rider I just couldn’t get past. It was very frustrating race as I really wanted to battle with the 450’s at the front but I finished 5th in that race and 2nd in the youth.

I was very happy taking 1st overall in the youth especially after being off the bike for 5 weeks.
