What a weekend at Monster Mountain for the EMX Sparks Championship! The weather couldn’t have been more different across the two days, starting with a wet and muddy track on Saturday before drying out completely for Sunday’s racing. Racing against electric bike for the first time added a new challenge, but I was excited to see how it would go.

Saturday – The weekend started perfectly by qualifying in P1. The wet and muddy conditions suited me well, and I felt comfortable from the first lap.
Race 1 was all about keeping things smooth on the slippery track. With no ruts I had to find a smooth line into the corners.I managed the conditions well and took the win in P1.
For Race 2, the track began to dry out and became incredibly slick, almost like riding on ice. I grabbed the holeshot and controlled the race from the front to take another P1.

Race 3 didn’t start as well, with me coming through the first corner in 4th place. Racing against the electric bikes was a new experience as they have instant acceleration and pace, so timing my passes was crucial. After working my way through the field, I crossed the line in P1 once again.
Sunday – The track was completely transformed overnight, becoming bone dry and rough. Race 4 started well, and I quickly got out front of the Big Wheels class. I kept a strong pace throughout and secured another P1 finish.

Race 5 brought the biggest challenge of the weekend. I came through the first corner in 4th place and was pushing hard on the opening lap. After landing from a jump, I high-sided heavily, hitting the ground hard, bending my handlebars, breaking my goggles, and dropping back to last place. To make matters worse, the leaders had already built up a half lap lead. With bent bars and determination, l put the hammer down and charged through the field, fighting back all the way to finish 1st in my class. The comeback summed up the weekend perfectly. Despite the crash and changing track conditions, I took the overall win secured the fastest lap of the entire weekend, and proved I could adapt to both the conditions and the challenge of racing against electric bikes.

A huge thank you to everyone who supports me, helps behind the scenes, and cheers me on every weekend. Great weekend five class wins, the overall victory, and the fastest lap is an outstanding result. On to the next one! WE ARE NORA CRS!
