On the weekend it was the NORA Motorsport Team Event at the iconic Foxhill mxtrack and what a venue it was! I got the opportunity to ride for Severn Valley MXC as they had a spot become available and I was lucky enough to be asked which I’m grateful for, thank you Tim Truman.

The track was pretty daunting to start with as the jumps were massive as they were the same for the MXGP a few weeks earlier. I was so nervous for Qualifying but I managed to put in a hot lap towards the end of the session to get P1.
I was still nervous and not feeling that confident while in the holding area before the start of race 1 as I still found the jumps a bit daunting. I got myself psyched up on the gate and managed to pull a holeshot and led every lap. I controlled the race but the only problems in the race was lots of back markers on the last few laps which held me up quite a lot allowing second place to close the gap considerably.

Race 2 I wasn’t as nervous but I didn’t get such a good start as I was 5th around the first corner. I quickly got into second but my closest rival got the holeshot and pulled a good lead. I pushed really hard and caught him on the 3rd lap and just as I got into the lead the race got red flagged and taken back one lap so I finished second.

First race of the second day another good start second around the first corner right on the back wheel of first place. Got into the lead on the first flap controlled the race was feeling more comfortable on the jumps. My lap times were consistent except on the last couple of laps because I was not able to clear the jumps due to packs of back markers but took the checkered flag.

Final race of the day my NORA CRS team mate and closest rival of the weekend got the holeshot with myself in second. There was a lot of crashes and pile ups which made things very challenging as there was lots of people down on numerous laps. The track conditions had deteriorated becoming very hard pack and bumpy. I got into the lead by the 4th lap controlling the rest of the race and took the checkered flag. Back at the van celebrating with my parents thinking I had won another overall at the team event when officials came to the van to tell me I had received a 10 second penalty for jumping on a waved yellow. Finished up on equal points but because of the penalty I finished 2nd overall.
