It wasn’t the weekend we had planned because as my dad went to put a new piston in my bike he found there were more things that needed replacing in the engine than we first thought. Some incorrect parts got sent out so that delayed the rebuild which was very frustrating.
By Friday evening my bike was still just a frame so we had to abandoned our plans to go to the last round of MXGB Youth at Foxhills. I was very disappointed but there was nothing more my Dad could of done we just ran out of time.
It was Saturday evening when my dad was finally able to get my bike back together, so we decided to stay in Wales and enter the final round of LGR Club Championship at Pendine Mx Track on Sunday. I was just going to treat it as a day to test the bike out as I’m not in this Championship.

The track was looking the best I’ve seen it and I was keen to get out on track. The Big and Small Wheel 85’s were in together which I was happy about as I enjoy the challenge of racing against the Big wheels. The track was tacky and in good condition for practice, I enjoyed the rhythm section and the jumps. Practice went really well for me I felt good on the bike and I finished 1st.
Just before the first race started really fine misty rain had started to fall and it was looking like it was in for the day (which it was). Even with the rain causing issues with my goggles resulting in me having to race with them off for the majority of the race I managed to holeshot all 3 races and win all 3 races.
The Big wheels didn’t make it easy for me and in some of the corners it was slick which was causing me to slide out a lot. I still managed to stay in control and set the pace from start to finish throughout all three races. My lap times were very constant across the board. I walked away with 1st overall so the weekend ended on a high.
