Seventh place finish in the 2024 NORA 92 British Cup for Jesse James

Jesse James ended last weekend on a high at Marshfield for the final round of the 2024 NORA 92 British Cup with a seventh place overall in Small Wheel 85cc Championship.

Here is how the weekend went for Jesse.

Jesse has never raced at the Marshfield track but was eager to get out there and give it his best. He went out for qualifying which did not go to plan for him as he landed funny and injured his toe, which led to him ending up with a not so great gate pick for the weekend.

After qualifying his toe was very sore but he refused to sit the first race out so we iced it, strapped it and let him ride. Throughout all 2 races on Saturday he sat just outside the top ten but you could see his pace was down and he really couldn’t find his rhythm on the bike. His results for Saturday really didn’t show how hard he tried.

Sunday morning we could see that the injury was quite bad on his toe but he had decided he was not ending his Cup with any DNF’s so he headed out with a positive attitude. He managed a 12th and 13th in the two races for the final day at Marshfield.

There was a lot of stiff competition throughout all 3 rounds of the British Cup and with this being the first time Jesse has competed at this level finishing 7th overall was a fantastic effort. He has really enjoyed racing with the Nora CRS Development Team and would like to thank them for all their continued support along with Coach Robb and all the sponsors supporting him.

Jesse is now looking forward to Training Camp and then preparing for MX Master Kids UK 10 Anniversary weekend.
