Strong day at round 2 of Wilden MXC Winter Championship

The second round of the Wilden MXC Winter Championship took place last weekend at Wolverley and NORA CRS Development Team rider, Reuben McNally made the trip to continue his Championship fight in the Small Wheel 85cc class. Read how the day went for Reuben below.

This weekend we travelled to Wolverley for Round 2 of the Wilden Championship. Hoping the weather would hold out and it did not disappoint. Weather was great, track was perfect and I was looking forward to racing. After the warmup/sighting lap I felt good.

Race 1 – I got a good start and felt good on the bike, the adults had been out first and put some nice lines in the track which helped. I pushed as best I could managing to finish 16th with some fast riders out there in my class.

Race 2 – I felt I could try and push a little harder after speaking with my dad. I felt I was loosing a lot of time on the corners and just needed to be a bit more confident. I felt I could do this so I tried to be quicker which resulted in me loosing the front on the 4th corner. I got back on the bike but I was way back and had a lot of work to do to catch up. I got back to 19th and just missed on catching the next 3 bikes as we crossed the line.

Race 3 – I knew this was last race of the day I felt I had 2 decent races. I had a chat with dad and I decided this was the one I was going to go for it. I got a real good start and felt really good on the bike I was getting into the corners quicker and my confidence was growing. I managed to get up to 15th and stay there. I felt I had a great race and getting more confident each time. Roll on Round 3!
