This weekend we headed to Landrake Moto Parc with Southerly MXC. After having some success with them earlier in the year, I was excited to see what the racing would bring.

After going out for a short 2 lap practice, the track was in prime condition, and I was very prepared for the days racing.

MOTO 1 – I got off to a solid start in race 1, coming out of the first turn in P5. I battled hard on the first lap and pushed my way into P3. I could see P2 not far down the road, and pushed hard to catch him. I managed to catch right up within 2 laps and pretty quickly make the move for P2. I managed to settle in at a pace almost identical to the leader but not quite fast enough to catch him. Overall solid race with P2 and P1 in the 125s.

MOTO 2 – Got off to another solid start coming out the first corner around P5. I moved straight up into P4 right on the back of P2&P3 – two 250s. I fought hard and managed to get past one of them into P3 on lap 3. After a bit more hold up, I unfortunately crashed, dropping into P4. I held strong pace from here, but unfortunately didn’t quite catch back up to the guys infront, finishing P4 and P1 in the 125s.

MOTO 3 – Another decent start seen me around P5 on lap 1. I was behind a group of fast riders who I knew I was faster than, but just needed to get around. Eventually I found my pace on lap three and made the move for P4 on lap 4. I kept pushing to bridge the gap to P3, Which I did by lap 6. However, the race was unfortunately cut short by 5 minutes, meaning this is where i ended up. I was the fastest on track on the final lap, with only 7 seconds to P1, so it would’ve been interesting to see what I could’ve achieved if the race was normal length. P4 and P1 in the 125s is still a solid result so happy with that. P1 O/A 125s which is always nice, also nice to get out of the gate better, but still some way to go. Thanks to the team and all my sponsors for another solid weekends racing!!! I look forward to Culham with Plews nationals next weekend.
