“I’m very excited to be working with the NORA CRS Development Team in 2025. It is a great opportunity for me to be working alongside NORA helping the riders on and off the track. This is so important for the sport as there is a proper structure in place for the riders to develop into the future pros of our sport and for NORA to be putting all of this in place is amazing for the sport but most importantly the very lucky riders selected.”
Gemma has been around Motocross her whole life, growing up with Roy as her dad there wasn’t a weekend that she wasn’t at a Motocross event and has certainly gained the same passion for the sport as Roy!

“Being involved with the NORA CRS Development Team since it began has allowed me to build relationships with the riders and their families to get a better understanding of what the team needs are. I look forward to continuing to work with our current riders as well as introduce new riders to the team.”

“Our first year having launched our NORA CRS YOUTH DEVELOPMENT TEAM has been quite exciting in many ways, with our riders embracing what we’ve offered them and working closely with Coach Robb! I would personally like to thank all our riders and families for your hard work.”
Roy has been involved within Off Road Motorsport since he began racing sidecars at the age of 15, later going on to compete at some Sidecar Grand Prix’s! Once he hung up his racing boots, Roy went on to compete in the odd event including traveling to France to race a quad, an enduro on a Minibike and in 2009 and then again in 2018 he took part in Weston Beach Race on a sidecar with his brother.
Roy remained within the sport going on to manage Motocross Clubs and being involved in the running of some of the UK’s biggest events. Since then, Roy has gone to manage various motorsport governing bodies within the UK, before he launched NORA Motorsport in 2019.
Always having had a keen passion for wanting to make a positive difference to the sport and the riders, when the opportunity came up to join forces with Coach Robb it seemed the ideal time to create something new and help the next potential generation of PRO Riders.
“NORA Motorsport were pleased to team up with Compete Racing Solutions over the winter to introduce the all new NORA CRS Development Programme for 2023 launched at Master Kids 2022. As a new venture we are more than pleased with the results that we are already seeing with the riders. Under the watchful eye of team manager Andy Watts and co-ordinator Gemma Barton, along with the tuition of Coach Robb from CRS, the Elite Team are benefitting from the weekly talks and daily regime aimed at improving them as competitors.
We are also pleased that the team partners can also see the goals and pathway to achievement that we do at NORA and are also getting behind the programme. The development isn’t a short-term goal and we are hopeful to be working with the riders as they develop in to the future. We will also be looking at the potential to expand the programme and bring on extra riders going forward and expand beyond the MX World.”

“Our vision at CRS has always been to reinvest into the sport by investing in our youth to create durable riders that will be able to enjoy riding and racing for many years to come. Our partnership with NORA Motorsport has been a breath of fresh air. It is so refreshing to work with a governing body in our sport that understands this vision and is willing to invest in this vision. With CRS teams in the US, Australia, and New Zealand, it was a natural progression to move over to the UK and Europe and we are proud of the accomplishments of the NORA CRS Youth Development Team members.”
