2023, my last year on my yz65! I feel i have had a great year and i have loved every minute of it.
I completed the Cheshire MX championship, racing in 10 rounds and finishing overall 11th.
29th April Warmingham Lane 12th 8th 14th
30th April- Warmingham Lane 11th 15th 14th
Not been to this track since 2021 having had no practice here I knew it was going to be tough. Day 1 was my best day got my best result in race 2 getting 8th.
14th May- Grangemoor 12th 15th 12th
Having only been to this track once before competing in the White Rose championship and had a big off there, I was nervous going in to this weekend as there was a little kicker at the bottom end of the track. We walked the track twice and I managed to get it out of my head for the race and managed a decent result sitting in the middle of the pack with around six of us close.
3/4th June- Astbury 17th 14th 15th
Having never ridden this track before and walking it with my dad track looked like it there could be some big ruts! Nice weather was great but I pushed hard and managed to drop the bike in each race but managed to get a 14th in race 2.
8/9th July- Astbury 18th 18th 18th
Back at the track I struggled to stay on the bike and this weekend the weather was awful. Track was soaked and the organisers decided that the track had to be cut as the little wooded area was like a swamp and unrideable
10th September- Warmingham 18th 18th
Not a good weekend for me, weather was awful and the racing was cut short, a weekend to forget!
Mx Master Kids 2023
Certainly a highlight for the year! Brilliant weekend and I got my best ever race result! I entered Master Kids 2023 and qualified in the C group. Loved racing Mx Master Kids 2022 and I cannot wait for 2024!
Race 1 went out confident and was pushing hard really enjoying myself and mangaged to finish inside the top 10 getting 9th.
Race 2 was really confident and got a really good start, managed to get to the front but as I hit a jump my chain snapped and locked engine as I landed, I was absolutely gutted and the race was over on lap 1.
Race 3 I was nervous as I was worried my bike would break again. My dad reassured me it would be ok. I pushed hard, not the best start but managed to pull off 11th.
Race 4 this was my best race! A race I will never forget! I got a great start was out the gate like a rocket, sat in 2nd for most of the race I was loving riding! I had a rider very close for 2 laps and was managing to hold him off until he passed me right on the line! Can you believe it! Giving me 3rd but I was still so happy!
Race 5 had a great start again and was in 2nd when I was pushing for 1st and dropped the bike I was stuck and struggled to get the bike off the ground when i finally got back on I was dead last and so far behind. I would probably say this could of been one of my best races with so much time to catch the next rider and being so far behind I had no pressure and just raced myself and some how I got back to 25th.
Race 6 had a decent start still not happy i dropped the bike but feeling confident i went for it. Had a couple of wobbles which cost me some time but got a 10th place which made me happy as our target for the weekend was a top 10 and i managed to be there most of the weekend.
I cannot wait to be back for 2024, especially being part of the Nora CRS family i have so much to look forward to and I am so grateful.
