This weekend we did a 2 day meeting with 90s Racing at Preston Docks.This was our first time on this track and conditions were Horrendous to say the least.
On the Saturday it rained all day on an already soaked track and the competition was tough, as most other meetings were canceled.Gates were nearly full so 35+ riders including some from Isle of man.
Race 1 not the best of starts but dug deep had made his way through the back, finishing 10th good result but we new we could do better.
Race 2 Gated well but got boxed in so had another fight on our hands, got up to 10th place but came of on the last lap, finishing 16th. Harley was not to happy with the result but that’s motocross.
Race 3 the track was a mess along with heavy rain. The start was not that good and came of a few times as did most people, goggles were being thrown every where. finished 18th ,not too happy but with a lot of others not even finishing we did OK. We took 14th overall.
Sunday morning was a better day and even the sun was out , but did not help track conditions much.
Race 1 a lot better start running 10th came of and lost 8 places but battle hard and got 5 of them back finishing 13th.
Race 2 Had a great race running 9th till last lap and took a spill, got back onto finish 16th. Great race just a little miss app spoiled it.
Race 3 Smashed it, great start 2nd round the first corner, battled and rode my socks off. Harley punched the air as he took 5th place. We were all jumping for joy saved the best till last, new he had it in him just need a break.
Taking 9th overall and we are back there again next week with YMSA.
