ACU British Championship at Lyng 28th April
Bike problems, awful weather and a challenging track made a difficult day for me as a wildcard at the first round of the ACU British championship at Lyng.

Race 1- Bike issues, including a snapped gear shifter, meant I was down on power in a very deep and wet sand track. However, I didn’t give up or pull in and finished 15th in the 125cc group
Race 2 – Bike issue rectified, I had a mid pack start but cross rutted on a ski jump, taking me off the track.
Already 50 seconds down from the leaders, I then came down the hill and ended up being stuck on the side of a bank.
I restarted, but rode tentatively in the areas that I had moments in, meaning I was unable to attack the whole track.
My last lap was only 2/10 of a second slower than my fastest lap, showing that In a 25 minute race, my fitness is very good. Finished P13

Not sure of the pointing system, but looking at where I finished in both races, it put me in 15th place overall in the 125cc group.
Shame the weather was rubbish because the track would have been mega.
Now starts the massive clean up from Lyng in preparation for the NORA Cup next weekend at Landrake!
Thanks to the Nora Team, Team sponsors and all my personal sponsors for all their help.
