Nora Cup 4-5 May – Landrake Motoparc
At the Fantastically run Nora Cup , we raced for 2 Days down at Landrake Motoparc. After being ill all week and having a day off school, it was questionable as to whether I would be well enough to race.
However after qualifying in P5 on Sunday and with only 1.5 seconds separating P2 to P5, I knew I would be there or thereabouts.
Sunday
Race 1 – in a total mudder, I was happy to gate in 3rd place but unfortunately dropped it on the first lap, taking me back to 10th place. I had to pull myself together and work really hard to find my flow and managed to finish P5
Race 2 – track was drying well, but I had a bad start as I span up off the gate. Was running outside the top 10 so I had my work cut out for me again.
Chomped my way back up into 5th, where I maintained the position for the rest of the race.

Monday
Race 1- great start! Gated in 2nd place as I went all the way around the outside of the pack on the long sweeping start corner.
Managed to hold 3rd place until the last but 1 lap when I was overtaken.
I was holding a good comfortable 4th position on the last lap when a back marker rammed me onto a corner, meaning I lost valuable time.
Still fighting though, I was literally pipped by 0.5 of a second on the finish line jump by my team mate Mitch Conway, who I had been battling with all weekend.
Finished P5
Race 2- not such a great start as the first, but managed to get settled into the race, running in 5th place.
I was really trying hard and battling with Mitch for 4th place, but fatigue started to come in because of my illness and I struggled to maintain my intensity.
Despite the fatigue, I finished comfortably in P5 again.

Finished in P5 overall for the weekend (2nd fastest 125cc rider).
Had a great weekend chilling with Jojo Horn and my other mates from Nora CRS Development and getting to know them even better.
Thanks to Roy, Gemma and Andy from Nora and Lawson and his team for putting on a great event.
Looking forward to the next round already.
