Busy weekend again for Jack Evans!

Busy weekend for me, competing as a wildcard rider in Fastest 40 at Brookthorpe on Saturday and AMCA Championship at Hawkestone Park on Sunday.
Both meetings were stacked with both Adults and Youth riding in the 125cc class, so the competition was great!

Saturday
Total mudder for the Fastest 40 at Brookthorpe, meant that the track was extremely tough.
The conditions were so wet that free practice was cut short, so we had 5 minutes free practice before going straight into qualifying.
I only wanted to put in 1 decent lap so I could save the bike for the racing. Bike was caked and I qualified P15

Race 1
Rode steady. Had a little tipple in the 2nd lap. Made quite a few passes.
Had to come in for fresh goggles. Made a mistake on the last lap but finished P6 in the Youth, P 13 combined with the Adults
Race 2 – crashed loads. Finished P12 in the Youth, P19 combined.
Overall finished P8 in the Youth,P15 combined, which we were pleased with.

Then it was back home to fill all the water tanks (and have a shower!) as we were totally empty before getting back on the road and up to Hawkestone Park.

Sunday
Great Sunday racing at the mighty Hawkestone Park at the AMCA Championship.
Weather was challenging again, with plenty of rain and even a thunder storm keeping the track tough and rutty all day.

Qualified in P7, which set me up for the day. The bike was spluttering a bit so Dad did some work on it to get it ready for racing.

Race 1 – I had a great race and finished P2 in the 125cc Youth class, P8 class combined with the Adults.
Race 2 – The bike problems came back but I managed to work with it to finish in P2 Youth, P10 combined.

Dad stripped the bike apart and changed the fuel, getting the bike ready just in time for race 3
Race 3- I had a great start and was running in P8 until the last lap when I made a mistake and crashed into the barriers. Only lost 1 place so finished P9, P2 Youth.
Overall finished in P2 Youth.

It was a long weekend, but I finished on a real high.

My strength and fitness really stood up to the tough demanding terrains of Brookthorpe and Hawkestone.

Thanks, as always to Nora, team sponsors and personal sponsors for all their support
