As Freddie loved racing the 2025 Weston Beach Race, he wanted another to compete in this year, so it was off to Pendine Beach Race last Saturday for the annual event. With practice and three motos, Freddie knew he would have to put the work in with the different format to Weston Beach Race.

This weekend we headed to Pendine beach race! As I loved Weston so much I wanted to find another beach race to compete in. I didn’t know what to expect as we had never heard of it before, but made the 3 hour journey and was buzzing for the new experience.
We had a lot of wind and rain in the night but woke up and it was dry and the sun was out. Track looked mint and I was excited to get out there.

Practice was just a sighting lap but felt good and comfortable for the day ahead.
Race 1 & 2 – had great starts and sat in SW85cc lead from the beginning, I found my flow and stayed consistent with my riding, railing the ruts and pinning it on the straight, only 1 small crash on the second race but I gained a nice gap for myself and I had time to get back on still leading. I was buzzing to take both the wins in race 1 and 2.
Race 3 – I flew out the gate! Got a mega start and was second round the corner, this race was by far my best riding of the day, sitting in first for SW85cc again. Riding smart and getting my fastest lap time. I was almost home!… half way through the last lap my bike stopped dead! I looked down and my chain had come off! I felt gutted as I was so close to that finish flag. After (what seems like a lifetime) off the bike the chain was loose enough to be put back on and I sped off crossing the line in 3rd.
I was over the moon to take the top step on the podium and become 2025 Pendine Beach Race Champion for 85SW. A great event held and will defo be back next year on my big wheel.
