We are back with another season review from team rider, Seb Brown who was announced as a new rider to the team for the 2026 season. As Seb prepares to hit the 2026 season with full gas onboard his Big Wheel 85cc, lets look back on his first season in the Big Wheel 85cc class.

This year I have had my first year racing in the Big Wheel 85cc class, it wasn’t easy as a broken thumb set me back early in the season, but it’s been a good year with a good amount of wins and many podiums, 9 – wins, 27 – podiums, and 34 – top 5’s!
Originally, my goals were to podium all the NORA92 British Cup rounds, to win the Southerly Championship, and podium the Weston Beach Race but unfortunately a few injuries stopped my goals from happening. Every year has its ups and downs and this year has especially, I had a few bad races early on, but I used my worst races to improve and by doing this I have increased my speed on the bike very much, which I am very happy about. I had some of the best racing this season and to top it off, I managed to secure a sponsorship place in the NORA CRS Development team! So overall 2025 has been great and I am very happy with the amount I have improved not just physically but mentally as well.
Some of the highlights were:
British Youth Championship – Little Silver – After 7 weeks off with my thumb injury, I jumped in at the deep end and wildcarded the ACU British Youth Motocross Championship at Little Silver. My best result over the weekend was 16th and my lap times showed I wasn’t far off the pace. I was pleased with this after so long off the bike.

NORA92 British Cup – Culham 3rd Overall
Next up, Culham! I qualified 10th which I was disappointed with, but I also knew I had some in the tank. Race 1 was a better story, a bit of a bad start but I soon picked up the pace, setting the 2nd fastest lap and finished 4th! I was consistent all weekend and that gave me a good overall of 3rd place and some money in the bank.

NORA92 British Cup – Marshfield 3rd Overall
This was one of my best performances, I was fit and feeling good on the bike. Race 1, coming from dead last after a bad start and getting held up by a crash in turn 1, I moved up to 5th place after lap 1 passing about 30 riders, and I was quickest on the track mid race and catching the leader, Ollie Waters, eventually I finished 3rd! Race 2 seen another poor start, moving from 6th to 4th place after a few laps, I then started battling with Charlie Mitchell for 3rd, it was an awesome battle, we were catching 1st and 2nd but ran out of laps! Another 3rd giving me the 3rd overall for the weekend.
NORA Motorsport Team Event – 2nd overall
I had great pace all weekend and would have secured the overall win but unfortunately the last race points were void due to a red flag on lap 4. I still managed a 2nd place overall, and our team, Southerly, had the most points in the Big Wheel 85cc class. Plus Southerly MXC won the overall, so a brilliant weekend all round. R1 – 2nd, R2 – 3rd, R3 – 2nd , R4 – 2nd – void
Southerly Championship – 5th Overall
This season I had some of the closest racing of my career, this included at the Southerly Championship, with the top 5 in the Championship all showing good pace. Unfortunately Will Dennis was injured early on, so he couldn’t join in the fight, but Ollie Bardoe, Noah Veysey, my brother Theo, Marcus Whit, Timmy Pengelly, all getting a win at some point. Injuries and other commitments meant the top spot wasn’t possible for me this year because I missed 3 rounds, but it was great fun racing with my mates and my bro! Because of our close battles, me and Theo won a trophy for the most entertaining riders.

Weston Beach Race
This was a disaster for me! I trained so hard for this race, completing several 1.5hour race simulations, I was fit and up for the battle. My goal was top 5 and I got to the fence/start in a great position, at the first dune there was a few crashes around me, but I muscled through and got to the front. On the main straight I was in 3rd or 4th place and going for it, but unfortunately my bike cut out and I stopped halfway along the straight, then another rider hit me from behind. It was pretty scary, we both ended up in the ambulance, I spent 8 days in hospital with some pretty bad injuries, but myself and the other rider have now made a full recovery. The bike on the other hand isn’t so pretty.

Going forward into the 2026 season I am very happy to be fully recovered from my big crash at the Weston Beach Race. I am very happy to be in the NORA CRS Development team, who I am sure will help me achieve more than my expectations. For the 2026 season my main goals are to win/podium all of the NORA92 British Cup rounds and some club meetings. I also would like to finish on the podium at some of the MXGB Youth rounds. Mainly I am hoping for no injuries and to stay in a good form all season and to perform well.
