Freddie Joyner: Looking back on the 2025 Season

Freddie Joyner is the latest rider to talk about his 2025 season as he prepares to attack the 2026 season onboard the NORA CRS Development Team. 2025 marked Freddie’s final season onboard the Small Wheel 85cc machine and wanted his final season to be a challenge so signed himself up for the NORA92 British Cup, Bridgestone British Masters and Corsham MXC Club Championship.

Read how the 2025 season went for Freddie and as he looks to the 2026 season with the team.

2025 was my last year on Small Wheel so wanted to challenge myself and take on something new that I haven’t done before. I entered in to Bridgestone British Masters, NORA92 British Cup and Corsham MXC Club Championship. Bridgestone Masters being the new challenge for me, I wanted to see how I got on and race new tracks and new competition.

1st race of the season at Severn Valley, I took 1st overall giving me confidence and a boost for the start of the year, second race was the 1st round of Bridgestone, running a good pace I ended up crashing and breaking my collarbone, resulting in having 6 weeks off the bike. I felt gutted but know it was only temporary and that I would be back on the bike before I knew it.

After recovering from my injury I took on a few rounds with Corsham MXC and felt comfortable and good to be back on the bike, a few more podiums under my belt I knew I was back! Then BAM a little topple on my scooter one evening at the pump track I broke my wrist and back to recovery for me.

Second lot of recovery done and I was fit and fighting and ready to take on the summer races knowing I have to give it my all. NORA92 British Cup were great weekends held taking 2nd overall over the 4 rounds. And a highlight of the summer for me was the All British at Maisemore taking 2nd overall for that also. I had a great few rounds to finish off with Corsham taking 1st overall for the majority of my races, but due to injury I didn’t have enough races to get that overall podium spot.

To finish off the year I took on the beach, and oh my it was a lot of fun! The sand is savage and there’s just something different about it. Weston Beach Race I took 6th overall and I also became Pendine beach Race Champion for 2025 which I was buzzing about.

Apart from the injury I’ve had an amazing year to finish off my Small Wheel journey, a year I won’t be forgetting any time soon! It’s been a year of growth, comeback, podiums and a lot of sand! I’m excited to see what 2026 has install for me on Big Wheels but I’m so ready to challenge myself and have a lot of fun along the way.
