Top step on podium for Ronnie Morgan at Clearwell

This weekend took us to Clearwell for a joint meeting with Severn Valley MXC and Cotswold Youth & AMX Club. I’ve not been to this track since I was on a auto so was looking forward to getting to race it again.

Saturday the BW85 and SW85 were racing together so that would make things interesting but would be pointed separately and I was keen to get out there and challenge myself.

Practice/Qualifying went really well and I got 3rd fastest time which I was well happy with.

The first race I was feeling good but also abit nervous on the line but I got a good start and settled into the race getting pushed by the big wheels. My laptimes were constant and I finished 4th combined and 1st in the small wheels.

Race 2, was going really good running 4th again until 2 laps from the end when I got a rear puncture which forced me to slow down because I kept losing my back end so I ended up finishing 11th combined 3rd in SW85cc.

The final race of the day was a ok start the track was at its roughest with some really deep ruts and the pace was just as fast. I finished 6th combined but 1st in the small wheels.

Sunday was the Club’s Championship day and it was bigger line ups, so the SW85 were running separately. The track seemed in better condition even though it had changed in places. I was feeling good and comfortable on my bike it was running well and was a trouble free day. My lap times were pretty much constant setting the fastest lap in all the races.

My results for day two were 3 race wins and 2 holeshots. Overall for both days I got top spot on the podium!
