Oliver Bardoe Battles to Impressive 12th Overall at Sherwood

This weekend we travelled to Sherwood for Round 3 of the NORA92 British Cup.

I hadn’t raced there for a couple of years, so I was really looking forward to the weekend. My goal was to achieve a top-10 finish.

Saturday – Race 1
I got a good start and stayed with the top 10 for most of the opening lap. By lap 4 I had dropped back to 14th, but I pushed hard and kept my lap times consistent enough to hold off the rider behind me. I crossed the line in 12th place.

Race 2
Another strong start saw me running 9th on the first lap. A couple of riders got past me on lap 2, and with the track becoming rough and demanding, it was tough going. My lap times stayed consistent until the final lap when my teammate Theo managed to make a pass. I finished 13th.

I was pleased with my racing on Day 1.

Sunday – Race 3
The start wasn’t as good as Saturday, and I had to work hard to make up positions. I kept pushing and finished 14th.

Race 4
My final race of the weekend was definitely my best. I got a great start and was inside the top five going into the first corner. I held 8th place for a couple of laps and set my fastest lap times of the weekend. I eventually finished 9th, achieving my goal of a top-10 race finish.

Overall, I’m really pleased with how I rode throughout the weekend and finished 12th overall.

A big thank you to the NORA CRS Development Team for all their support and encouragement.

Next stop: Gossington!
