This weekend we headed to Sherwood for round 3 of the NORA92 British Cup. Saturday we had qualifying and 2 races.

Qualifying – I felt nervous as I hadn’t ridden at this track since they had changed it. Went out got the feel for the track and qualified 20th.
Race 1 – went out feeling better as I knew the layout from qualifying. I had a rubbish start, so starting the race from the back of the pack. I made my way through and finished 17th.

Race 2 – bad start again but really pushed myself through the pack and finished 15th. Just as I passed the checkered flag my engine seized up leaving me without a bike for the rest of the weekend! Sunday we had 2 races. I was luckily enough I had a awesome team mate Jesse James who lent me his spare bike.

Sunday – Race 1 – rubbish start again (something I really need to work on). I wasn’t used to the bike! The bike was set up for Jessie, so it did feel different to me. It took me race 1 to adapt to the bike finishing 19th.
Race 2 – felt better on the bike from race 1. Not a great start but pushed myself through the pack and finished 16th.

Not a great weekend with my starts, my bike seizing up, and being left without a bike but thankful for being able to borrow Jesse’s spare bike. I feel like the weekend could of gone better but it is what is!
