5th overall at Landrake with Southerly MXC for Oliver Bardoe

Last weekend I raced at Landrake for the final round of the Southerly MX Championship.

The last few meetings I’ve had at Landrake haven’t been great when it comes to starts, so my main goal for the weekend was to improve out of the gate. Practice went well, the track was in great condition, and I really enjoyed the riding conditions throughout the day.

Race 1:
I got a good start and was running near the front of the pack. I held 3rd place in the 250 class for most of the race, but on the final lap a small mistake and a few lost seconds allowed the two riders behind me to get past. I finished 5th and was disappointed with myself.

Race 2:
The start wasn’t quite as strong, but I managed to move up one position by lap two and settled into 5th place. I had a small off in the race but was able to get going again without losing any positions.

Race 3:
This was my best start of the day. I put in consistent lap times throughout the race and felt comfortable from start to finish. I crossed the line in 4th place.

Overall:
5th overall on the day.
