With a last minute venue change due to Storm Bert which hit the United Kingdom with force last week. Reuben headed to Polesworth for the next round of the Wilden MXC Winter Series.
After putting his all into the three motos in tough, wet conditions Reuben ended the day 10th overall. Hear how the day went from Reuben’s perspective.

“We travelled to Polesworth with storm bert causing all kinds of problems. Racing was moved to Polesworth as Wolverley was unrideable. After a long delay we got going and I got round on the warmup lap great, track was nice but very wet.
Race 1 I felt good and got a decent start but quickly realised I had run out of my roll offs and was struggling to see so I threw my goggles to the marshal and got back going. I slowed down during the race with the dirt getting in my eyes but managed to finish 11th.

Race 2, after a refill of my roll offs we were good to go and I felt good. I managed a good start out the gate and I pushed as hard as I could. Although I was growing in confidence, I was still a bit unsure with parts of the track being really wet and been off the bike in these conditions for so long. I needed to get my head on and push. I managed to grow in to the race and got 9th when the chequered flag went out.
Race 3 and the last race of the day I knew I had to give it my all. I got a really good start out of the gate. I felt good pushing as hard as I could and managed a 9th place finish which gave me 10th overall for the day. I left feeling really happy with myself. I am starting to get more confident on the bike after being out for so long and loving being back racing!.”
