English Bicknor – 23rd March
Saturday was a test day at English Bicknor, testing out the bikes after we had a fault at Preston Docks.
During practice, I had another bike issue, so I managed to go out on the spare bike whilst dad found the problem.
Race 1- span up off the start, bike was still spluttering for the first 3/4 of the race but not as bad as it had been in practice. Fortunately the fault cleared and I started to ride more aggressively, finishing in 4th
Race 2 – had a much better start but I kept making silly mistakes because the ruts were long and deep. But the bike was now sorted and I finished in P3, which was the first 125cc
Didn’t stay for race 3 as we had an epic drive to Oakhanger for the first round of the Nora Pro Championship.

Round 1 of the NPC, Oakhanger – Sunday 24th March
Qualifying- I qualified 8th, but the gap to 5th place was within the same second, so I knew if I had a good start and didn’t make any mistakes that I could be 5th

Race 1 – poor start, and then a fall off in the first lap meant I was dead last and had to come from the back of the pack. Finished P7
Race 2 – gated 4th. Rode really well up until 2 laps to go when I fell off. But I had built up a big enough gap that I didn’t lose any positions. Finished P5
Race 3– knackered and felt ill! Gated 8th and made a few mistakes because I was tired . Finished P8, which was disappointing because I knew I could have had 5th.
I finished P6 overall on the day. This was my target for the weekend, so we left in a really positive place.
Looking forward to getting back on the bike already and a full-on weekend of racing again next week.

Feedback on the NPC Round 1
The NPC was extremely well run, with live streaming and commentary all day.
The races were long and the program ran to time.
The new track layout was a real positive and I really enjoyed the day.
