A weekend at sunny Little Silver, for the next round with Southerly MXC. The track is intimidating and hard to pass so was hoping for good starts to keep me up top.
Race 1 – out the gate and second to the corner, I was on first place for a little while but over shot a rut at the bottom of a corner which made me lose my second place and sat 3rd for the rest of the race, but happy with my riding.
Race 2 – I knew this start had to be good as there was holeshot money involved! I was ready.. but slightly too ready and hit the gate causing my gate not to drop. Dead last no money ….off I went knowing I had work to do, I had a good pace making quick passes. Before I knew it and only a few laps in I was 4th and had 3rd place in sight. I took him on the step up and made a little gap for myself, crossing the line P3 again.
Race 3 – good start sitting 3rd from the start, gained on second in a few places but not enough to make a pass. Brought 3rd home and 3rd overall for the weekend.
