Great weekend of racing for Angelica Bennett at the NORA92 British Cup!

This weekend was the first round of the Nora British Cup and what a weekend it was!

It was my first time riding at Landrake, I went into the weekend with no expectations just excited to be riding alongside my other team members.

Qualify – 15th
The rain arrived just before we set out for qualify and that made the track really slippy! Getting my head around the track and making sure I keep my wheels rolling at the same time was a challenge but really happy with where I qualified.

Race 1 – 8th
The rain started and did not stop. Aim for this race was keep upright and keep it steady, don’t override the track. That paid off keeping it going and making sure I focused rather than panic about the track was the perfect plan and I got myself into 8th!

Race 2 – 9th
The rain has slowed down but the track was really tricky! Again, kept it upright but pushed it a bit harder! Really pleased with this result and where it placed me in the overall.

Race 3 – 11th
What a difference to the day before!! Sun was shining and the track was already dusty!! I had a bad start and really struggled to get myself round people because the track was so one liney. But got myself from near last up to 11th so winner!

Race 4 – 15th
The track was so rough hard on top but soft still weirdest conditions !! Had a decent start but let lots past me in the first lap then struggled to get back past.

11th overall
Absolutely gutted to miss out on prize money but unbelievably happy to have been so close! Last year at the British Cup I finished 25th overall so I am buzzing with my result. I can’t thank the whole Nora team enough for all of the support, guidance and support you all gave me! I’ve made friends for life. What a great team to be part of!
