This weekend was the start of the NORA92 British Cup at Landrake and was my first national race on SW85cc against some of the fastest riders in the UK which wasn’t helping with my nerves. It was also the first time the NORA CRS Team would be altogether at a national event and the setup was amazing, looked very professional and that’s all down to the NORA management team, thank you.

I didn’t have a very good qualifying as I had a bike issue but managed to get 18th so that was my gate pick all weekend.
Race 1 – I had a ok start and was battling with my team mate Rafe for the whole race. My lap times were consistent and I finished the race in 6th place.

Race 2 – My start was much the same but this time I was battling with Tommy Wood for 3rd but we both were passed by Ronan Watson. The race ended up getting red flagged and they took it back a lap so my position was 5th place.
On day two of racing we had a totally different weather and track conditions to contend with.

Race 3 – A surprising HOLESHOT and I felt the pressure straight away from two of the fastest SW85 riders in the country. I found myself making mistakes due to the unfamiliar pressure, eventually crashing on lap three while in 3rd place got stuck under the bike then struggled to start the bike eventually finishing in 14th.

Race 4 – I was really tired going into the 4th race and wasn’t feeling myself. Dropping back threw the field to finish 12th. I was really unhappy with myself because I knew I could do a lot better but walked away with 9th overall for the opening round.
