Doncaster 6th and 7th April 2024
Much better weekend as we headed back up north, this time to Doncaster.
Unfortunately racing was called off on Saturday due to horrific weather forecast, so we spent the day practicing at DMP and getting back in the flow.

Sunday
Race 1 – mediocre start. Took too long to get into the race, and combined with the fact that the races were really short, I was only able to get third place.
Race 2 – it was like 4 seasons in one race, with torrential rain followed by sunshine and warmth!
Dad had put my new DEP pipe on the bike after race 1, so the bike was much crisper and pulled better off the bottom.
Start was much better and came through the first corner in 4th place. Got into the race and and my flow much quicker, so was able to pass through and finish in P2
Race 3 – two thirds up the start straight, the rider next to me hit into me, causing me to swerve and have to brake. He then hit me again going round the first corner.

I found it hard to pass through the pack, but I managed to fight through into 2nd place. Unfortunately the leader had already checked out.
Overall, finished P2 on the day and looking forward to racing at Culham next weekend with Cotswold Youth and AMX Club.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who supports me- it really makes a difference!
The support I am receiving from the NORA CRS Development Team is just great! Just to mention a few here, but not forgetting all the others:
The ongoing coaching from Coach Robb is helping with my fitness and nutrition so much: Muscle Doctor kept me fuelled all weekend: And everything needed thoroughly cleaning because of all the sand and grit, so Motoverde (and Dad!) has made the bike look mint again, ready for next weekend.
I went through 4 sets of goggles this weekend, and thanks to Goggleshop, they all worked perfectly.
