Lessons Learned: Seb Brown Battles Through Tough British Masters Opener at Fatcat

Last weekend team rider, Seb Brown took the long trip up north for the opening round of the Plews Tyres British Masters series. Read Seb’s race report below.

Last weekend we took a trip to Fatcat motoparc for the Plews British Masters. Overall it was a good weekend, I had lots of fun and was happy with my results. In qualifying I ended up with 23rd, which wasn’t really what I wanted and was one of my only downsides to the weekend.

In race one I finished in 12th! A great result after a poor qualifying, so it was a good way to end my Saturday.

On Sunday in race 1 I finished 14th after some battles and overtakes I was happy to come away with a decent result knowing I had more in the tank for the last race.

Race 2 on Sunday I finished 35th, however a strong first few laps had me in P9, knowing the group in front wasn’t too far ahead, I wanted to push on and catch up but a silly mistake quickly turned into a big crash. Luckily I came away unharmed and knowing I had more pace than what everyone saw. I came away with 20th overall after a tough weekend.

Lessons were learnt and I will come back faster for Preston Docks.

Big thanks to everyone who helped this weekend it was very appreciated.
