Stepping up to the Youth 250 class for the first time this season, Ollie Bardoe wasted no time making his mark. Taking on the challenging English Bicknor circuit, he showed speed, confidence, and composure beyond his experience—turning his debut into a standout performance. Read Ollie’s race report below.

Last weekend I travelled to English Bicknor to race my first race in the Youth class on my 250cc. I was excited to be back racing and to see how I would get on in the youth class.
Saturday morning practice/qualifying and the track felt good. It was a 3 lap timed qualifying and I qualified 7th.

I had a good start in the first race, was in the top pack going around the first tight corner. I put in some good lap times and came 4th.
The track got faster as the day went on and by the time we got out for our third race and last of the day, the sun was bright and low, making it difficult to see on some parts of the track. I was in third for most of the race until the second to last lap and finished 4th again.

Sunday was the Championship race day and more riders turned up. The first race for us the gates didn’t drop for quite a few of us and I got my wheel wedged under the gate. Everyone sent back and we went again. This time when the gates went down, I nearly got the holeshot. I was racing hard and in second place for four laps but couldn’t hold it and I finished third. I really enjoyed the track conditions on Sunday, consistent starts and consistent lap times. I came away with P2 for the overall weekend in the Youth Class.
