Last weekend team rider Max Beard made the trip up to Preston Docks for two days of riding. With the Saturday being a practice day before the Preston Docks Racing event on the Sunday. Hear how the weekend went for Max below.
“Headed up to Preston Docks this weekend. Saturday was practice which I felt went really well considering I don’t get to ride sand very often. Sunday was race day! Race 1 – went to the start line and was a bit nervous, as I knew I was lining up against a few fast riders. Gate dropped, went out to wide, which meant I had a rubbish start meaning I was 3/4 from last. Managed to push through and finished 13th. Race 2 – My start was slightly better than race 1. Found myself settling into the track quite quickly and managed to push through to position 11th and that’s where I stayed. My overall for the day was 11th.”
