Rafe’s comments on the year… “It’s been a great year; I still can’t believe I have been offered a place on the NORA CRS Team. Having suffered so many injuries in 2022, the plan was to take a step back and concentrate on Club Champs, with the odd National Event. We went back to basics with training and raced the race, rather than concentrating on the competition.” Clearly this approach has worked well for Rafe, winning his club championship, consistent top results throughout the year. Rafe always gives 100% to his races and his commitment towards a race weekend.

Low Points Of The Year
NORA Team Event – “Tough conditions, superhot weather and Rafe just couldn’t get his head in the game, following an altercation with another rider. Second day results were better, running in second place, bike issues meant Rafe had to retire from one of the races, where he was in second place. But that’s racing”, says Rafe’s Mum Jessica.
Arena Cross – London January 2023 – Due to injury whilst training for supercross, Rafe had to miss his wildcard entry for Areancross. “Rafe was absolutely gutted and in tears for a good few days afterwards, he was so excited to have been offered the chance to compete at Arenacross and had been training hard, with multiple trips to Devon and training sessions with supercross star, Joe Clayton. I think that disappointed, drove Rafe to succeed, train hard and focus on his racing in 2023.” Words from Rafe’s top fan; his dad.
Plans For 2024
Already started training on the SW85 and will be partaking in 4-5 races before the end of 2023.
Entered for the Cotswold 2024 85SW Club Championship.
Entered into NORA National Events, such as Kids MX Masters and British Cup
Unfortunately, the Bridgestone National SW85 spaces were snapped up within a few days of opening. But Rafe is on the Reserve list, and we hope to participate fully or join as many rounds as possible as a wildcard rider.
The plan is to break inside the top 10 of the National Events and win the 85SW Cotswold Club Championship.

NORA CRS Development Team
We are already seeing the benefits from being part of the team. Coach Robb is truly inspirational, Rafe looks forward to his calls and words of advice from years of training the worlds top riders. As parents we appreciate the advice his gives the riders, from being responsible for their own training and packing their kit bag to sleep patterns and nutrition. “Champions have Champion habits” is used a lot at home. Being part of the team provides full rounded support for the rider and we cannot wait to get going. With the support of the NORA CRS Development Team 2024 is going to be a fantastic year. We can’t thank the team enough for choosing to help Rafe and our family.
