Reuben starts his 2025 NORA92 British Cup Campaign at Landrake

Check out how the weekend went at Landrake for the first round of the NORA92 British Cup with Reuben below.

The weekend we travelled to Landrake for the NORA92 British Cup. This was my first time at Landrake and I was looking forward to what it had to offer.

Sunday morning we did a track walk with our team coach and the track looked great. I could not wait to get started. Practice and qualifying I went out hoping to see what I had and how the track would feel and it was tough! A lot tougher than I had expected and I qualified 36th.

Race 1 – I got a good start and I was steady but just trying to learn the track and as I was gaining confidence I dropped the bike on the last lap. I got back on and rode but I had lost a lot of confidence and wasn’t happy. Finished the race in 36th.

Race 2 – Confidence was low and I knew I had to do better. I think this got to me and I found myself on the floor again this time on lap 1, I knew I had to do better. I was dead last and had some catching up to do finishing 36th.

Race 3 – It was a new day still low on confidence but after speaking with Joe and another track walk I was ready. The race started and it happened again! I was on the floor lap 1. I got back on and I had nothing to lose at this point and I pushed hard setting my fastest lap of the weekend! Only managed to finish 36th but at least I was consistent.

Race 4 – I just wanted to give it my all, last race before we headed home it was my last shot. I had a good start and I felt like this was going to be a better race. As I started to gain confidence and try to get into some rhythm, something I had struggled with all weekend, I saw the last lap flag and as I headed down to the bottom end of the track I went down again! I was so frustrated but I got up dusted myself off and finished 33rd.

Ended up with 35th overall. Not a great weekend for me racing and a lot to learn but it was a great weekend with my team and can’t wait to get out again and improve these results I know I can do better.
