Ronnie Morgan Celebrates First Small Wheel 85cc Triumph with Severn Valley MXC

Ronnie Morgan celebrated a major milestone in his young motocross career on Saturday at Bromsberrow, lining up with the Severn Valley Motocross Club and delivering an outstanding performance to secure his first official Small Wheel 85cc race win. Showing impressive speed, confidence and determination throughout the day, Ronnie put together a strong ride to take the chequered flag and mark a breakthrough moment in his progression in the highly competitive class.

On Saturday we decided to kick off the season as a wildcard entry at Bromsberrow with Severn Valley Motocross Club. The track has had a revamp since I last rode Bromsberrow and I was eager to get out there to see how it flowed and developed. In Practice / Qualifying I managed to qualify 4th but I felt I could of got a better time but it didn’t work out that way.

Race 1 – There was 26 of us on the line and I was keen for the gate to drop. I got off on a ok start and was 3rd around the first corner with Jax Bishop leading. Within two corners I made my way into second and set my sights on chasing Bishop down. We were having some good battles nearly passing him on a few occasions during the race. I kept the pressure on Bishop then on the last lap he took a fall which gave me the lead which I held and took the Chequered flag by 11 seconds for my first Official win on the SW85cc.

Race 2 – I was feeling confident in parc ferme and focused on the start . The gate dropped and I was off determined to get a better start which I did! First holeshot of the season, I felt comfortable and in control. The track had formed some nice deep ruts but was getting rough in places. I lead the race from start to finish with a 3 second lead from Jax Bishop.

Race 3 – The time had started to run out so the club had decided to cut the race time down to a 3 lap dash for everyone, so I knew a good start was key to give me a chance of another win, 26 of us lined up for the final race of the day and the gate dropped it was close around the first corner, I managed to get second. Battling to get into first it was a close race with myself, Jax Bishop, Jake Bryant and Huey Sansom but by the second lap I took the lead and held it. Taking my third win of the day with Bryant second 3.2 seconds behind me.

I really enjoyed the day and supporting my other Nora CRS Team riders, it was good to watch them and get to cheer them on. Overall the meeting was ran really well.
