Sunday we had a very early start and travelled down to Little Silver MX for Round 6 of the Southerly Championship as a wildcard. I’m not really a fan of track but my Dad says we have to ride the tracks we don’t like to get better at them. It was a sunny day so before practice started the track was being watered.

For practice the Big and Small wheel 85 were out together but we would be racing separately, practice went ok but I was just trying to get used to the bike.
The first race I had a really good start was in second around the first corner but got into first quickly. I was battling with huey which made it a tense race but I held my composure and took the checkered flag. As the day went on it was getting hotter and the track was dusty so alot of water was having to go down to control the dust which it did.

Race 2 holeshot time so that meant a holeshot prize of £25 for me which I was well happy with. The track was slick but had some nice ruts in places. I managed to keep my lead for the whole race finishing first and was feeling much better on the bike.

Race 3 another holeshot but on the second lap I stalled the bike in a corner and struggled to get the bike going again by the time I got going I had lost a few positions which I was annoyed about, I ended up finishing the race in 5th place. Because of the mistake in race 3 I lost 1st place overall but its all a learning curve and we all have ups and downs in this sport but we keep on doing what we can to be better. I came away 2nd overall for the day.
