Last weekend was the first race of the year for Cotswold Youth & AMX Club at Monster Mountain. Sunday morning I arrived at the track ready to go. The fog was really bad which delayed the start time. Finally when the fog lifted we were ready for practice. In practice I was fired up and ready to go and enjoying the track with a second fasted lap time in my group.
Race 1 – I was looking forward to it as I did well in practice, but my machine (my dad) didn’t turn the fuel tap on all the way. The gates dropped and my bike was not running properly, bogging out, this put me near last place coming out of the first corner. On the first lap my bike died a couple times which really messed my position up. After it died the first time I knew I was out of the win for the day but I didn’t give up, finishing 9th place.

Race 2 – Bike sorted! On the start line the rain started and didn’t stop! I didn’t have a great start, coming out the gate mid pack. Found the track hard! By the second lap I managed to get into 5th place which is where I stayed till the end.

As the weather and the track conditions got worse they made the decision to cancel the 3rd race which meant I finished the day with a 4th overall.
