Theo Brown Storms to 125cc Victory at RL Raceway

This weekend we headed to RL raceway with Southerly MXC. I had a pretty solid day on a tricky track, which was so hard to pass on.

Practice – started off by going out first. the track was very wet and sloppy so going out in front meant that my vision would stay fresh and I could make the track out for myself.

RACE 1 – after a mid pack start I came around on lap 1, battling through with another quicker rider, in P9. I made a silly mistake on lap 2, which caused me to drop back a couple places I had made up on that lap. by lap 3 I had dug deep and had made it up to P5 and had my sights on P4. I managed to catch P4 by lap 6 and managed to make a pretty solid overtake. I ended up fastest on the track on the last lap and P4 overall. P1 in 125s.

RACE 2 – Race 2 was not too dissimilar to race 1, apart from the fact I had a slightly better lap 1, coming round in p5. I managed to make the mid race overtake for P4 overall and P1 in 125s. However, I did manage to close in on P3, but unfortunately it was too little too late.

RACE 3 – a much better start to this race, I managed to get myself in p4 after about half a lap. I knew I could beat the rider in front, but unfortunately, a stupid mistake on lap 2 caused me to crash, and dropped me back to p10. I fought all race to make back the places, and with 3 laps to go made it to P5. this is where I would stay for the rest of the race, P2 in the 125s. I ended up P4 overall and P1 in the 125s, which is a pretty decent result in such a talented class. Now onto the big one… LANDRAKE.
