First round of the NORA92 British Cup at Landrake.
Sunday morning the track looked good. When we came in from qualifying I knew I hadn’t done my best, I was mid pack and wanted a better result.
First race and I had a fairly decent start being in the top 10 of a fast and experienced Youth group. By the last lap I was in 15th but dropped it and hurt my shoulder. I knew I had lost a few places and was disappointed finishing 21st.
Race 2 and although I kept a good pace for the first half of the race my shoulder was giving me trouble. I slowed down and stayed steady to finish 19th and get some points.
Mondays racing I felt good to go. Race 3 and I had a really good start. I kept well within the top ten but the race was red flagged 5 mins into the race so we went back to start again. I didn’t get such a good start that time and couldn’t keep up finishing in 23rd.
The last race of the weekend and I went out to enjoy it. I had a really good start and by the second lap I was in 6th place. I lost a couple of seconds by lap 4 but was still in that top ten. Second to last lap and I made a mistake resulting in me finishing 14th but by far my best race of the weekend.
Overall a good weekend with the team, even though I was disappointed with some of my racing.
