Nora Cup 15-16 June 2024
Headed to Culham for Round 2 of the Nora Cup. Great to be representing Nora CRS Developments with my team mates.
And really good to have Stephen Sword coaching on Friday night and Saturday
Saturday
Qualified P2 so this gave me a head start for the weekend
Race 1- great start and settled into P2 where I stayed for the race
Race 2- another great start. Was in 2nd place for most of the race before I got overtaken. Drifted back and finished in P3
Sunday
Race 1- another good start. Got into P3 but just couldn’t keep the toe with P2 so finished P3
Race 2- not such a great start. Had to really fight back over a couple of laps. Was running in P4, when on the last lap, the third place rider crashed right in front of me. This allowed the rider behind me get past me. Unfortunately, with only half a lap to go, I couldn’t get the momentum to overtake back so finished in P4 (2/10 of a second from P3)
Overall, finished P3 on the weekend, so was really happy to pick up the prize money- thanks NORA 🙂
Learnings from the weekend
Starts were much better, which will help my confidence going forward
Still need to work on my consistency as I dropped 10 seconds on my last couple of laps in a few of the races
Thanks to the Nora Team for a great weekend and well done to all my team mates- it was great seeing everyone.
Off to Hawkestone Park next weekend as a wild card in the Bridgestone Masters
